TraknProtect CEO Parminder Batra to Participate in GMBHA “Women in Technology” Panel

Co-founder of leading innovator of employee safety button technology selected to share her experience as a female entrepreneur with GMBHA members


Miami – August 28, 2019 – TraknProtect, a leading provider of real-time location technology and staff safety solutions purpose-built for the hospitality environment, announces that the company’s CEO and co-founder Parminder Batra, will join a panel of South Florida’s most influential women in the hospitality technology sector during the GMBHA (Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association) “Women in Technology” Panel.


The event, which is sponsored by Comcast, will be held today, Wednesday, August 28, at the Expedia Offices, located at 701 Brickell Ave, Suite 2300 Miami. Registration for the panel discussion opens at 4:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 4:45 p.m. A cocktail reception will follow from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The panel discussion will be moderated by Nancy Dahlberg, a Miami-based business writer and editor who has covered the hospitality industry extensively.


During the event, attendees will hear from some of South Florida’s leading women in the technology sector on a range of topics, such as what inspired them to go into the technology field; how they are bringing innovation or digital transformation to the industry; and how they are they moving the needle to bring more women into hospitality and technology, in which women are highly underrepresented. In addition, panelists will share the secrets of their success and offer advice for today’s hospitality students and young professionals.


Batra is passionate about her company’s mission to make hotels a safer work environment and has been a guiding force in Miami’s adoption of legislation that requires Miami Beach hotels to implement a staff safety protocol by the upcoming deadline of September 15th.


Other participants in the “Women in Technology” Panel include Nashara Frazier, Director, Market Management for Expedia Group; Kristen Kostis, Director of Sales for TravelClick, an Amadeus Company; and Martha Poulter, Chief Information Officer for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
